Proposal Instructions
For this first activity, you will create a Project Proposal. In this proposal, you will identify the project that you would like to complete for IST 659 this semester. Please see the Syllabus for more information about the project requirement.
Project Proposal Worksheet
Please download the following worksheet to complete your Proposal. To be sure your browser downloads the file instead of trying to open it, right-click the following link and choose “Save As,” “Save Link As,” or similar language from the menu. (Each browser is a little different in what wording it uses.)
Editing the Worksheet
To the edit the Project Proposal worksheet, you need to use a word processor that can handle Microsoft Word files. I recommend LibreOffice, as it is free, open source, and does not contain invasive tracking features. However, you can also use Word Online in Office365, which the University has licensed. Be aware that Microsoft is likely collecting information about you when you use Word Online.
Select the editing instructions for the word processor program that you’re using:
Note that you can skip the “Adding a Screenshot” section of the above instructions for this course.
Submitting the Proposal
After you’ve finished editing the Proposal document, save your work, and then export the completed worksheet to a PDF file. Upload the PDF file as the submission to the Moodle assignment activity for the Proposal.
