Catalog Description

This senior capstone course integrates and synthesizes the material covered in the field of Information Systems, including Systems Analysis, Project Management, System Development and Deployment, and Security. Students will develop a practical solution to an information systems problem. Presentation will be both oral and written. Lecture topics may vary from semester to semester.

Course Student Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Apply information systems fundamentals to produce computing-based solutions within an information systems environment. (6.1-IS)
  2. Utilize current techniques to model domain data for information systems within an information systems environment. (6.2-IS)
  3. Demonstrate proficiency in the management of information systems within an information systems environment. (6.3-IS)
  4. Use current techniques/tools to ensure information systems solutions meet user requirements. (6.4-IS)
  5. Demonstrate an awareness of security and information assurance considerations. (4.4)
  6. Compose both oral and written communication. (3.4)
