Academics and Financial Aid

Dean of Students

The Dean of Students office is the office to contact if you must leave campus due to a family emergency or if you become hospitalized. This office also handles Code of Student Conduct issues and alcohol interventions.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

In addition to handing scholarships and other student aid, the Financial Aid and Scholarships office offers counseling on financial planning, personal money management, and debt management. This office also maintains up-to-date information about the annual FAFSA paperwork.

Office of the Registrar

The Registrar’s Office handles student records, including the issuance of official transcripts. This office also performs enrollment status verification for lenders and athletic eligibility certification.

Student Activities and Organizations

Looking to join a student organization, fraternity, or sorority? Or interested in starting a student organization? The Office of Student Life maintains a list of registered student organizations and coordinates campus-wide organizations and student organization funding.

Advising

Students majoring in the Department of Computing Sciences have a faculty advisor assigned in the department. To locate your advisor, look in WebAdvisor or contact Mrs. Melanie McKeefery in AOC2 room 234.

Each semester, an advising hold is placed on your account in preparation for early registration for the following semester. In order to have this hold removed, you will need to meet with your advisor to discuss your future courses. Pay close attention to the early registration dates, and meet with your advisor well in advance of your registration time. Registering early helps to ensure that seats are available in the courses you need or would like to take.
