Performance Objectives

As you recall from your previous coursework in Instructional Design, a performance objective is a "detailed description of what students will be able to do when they complete a unit of instruction" (Dick & Carey, 2001, p. 123).

Please phrase your objectives by referencing appropriate conditions, followed by an action verb and a description of the targeted behavior, as in:

1) Given a .JPG image file downloaded from the web, select Insert / Picture / From File from the Powerpoint menubar to insert that file into a slide.

2) Given the term progressive disclosure, define it and explain its significance to text object animation.

3) Given a three slide presentation, select Slideshow / Slide Transition to apply a transitional effect to a slide.

4) Given a screen shot of the three icons used to represent the different views modes of Powerpoint, select the correct icon to launch the presentation as a full-screen slideshow.

5) ...and so on...
