Meet
Dr. Whalen

Philip Whalen is a Professor of History and Director of Coastal Carolina University's Honors Program. He teaches courses in French history, modern European history, colonial history, environmental history, and historiography. His research interests are in gastronomy, tourism, and popular festivals as vectors of identity formation in modern French history. He is also directing the Digital Paris workshop.
