Purpose
A common feature of longer scientific works is some type of index that makes it easy to locate information buried within the work. Three types of index are especially common in printed materials: word indexes, figure indexes, and table indexes.
The TealSite static site generator collects per-page index data for all three of these index types, but it does not yet produce comprehensive index pages (or search database files) from these data. Allowing the site author to include these indexes is a planned feature that has yet to be implemented.
Scope of Work
Add capabilities to TealSite for generating index pages for figures (including special types, like code listings), tables, and words by leveraging the index data that are already collected for individual pages. Filter out common words (such as "the") from the generated word index. Add support for custom HTML tags that will include the various indexes for a given scope (whole site or part of a site).
