Security and Privacy Concepts

Digital privacy is an important component of modern cybersecurity. Conceptually, maintaining privacy means implementing security controls to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data. This confidentiality is under constant threat from a variety of actors, some of whom are equipped with tools for detecting and extracting information from digital sources. Avoiding this type of threat actor is the basis of the field of anti-forensics, and we can apply quite a few lessons from this field to improve our overall privacy.
