Social Learning Theories Objectives

Social Cognitive theory 1. Summarize Bandura's conclusion about human aggression and television. 2. Explain how many scholars have mislabeled Bandura as a neo-behaviorist. 3. Understand Bandura's expectancy theory as it relates to motivation. 4. Cite an instructional example of vicarious reinforcement. 5. Discuss the role of cognitive processing in social cognitive theory.
Distributed Cognitions theory 1. Define the term, distributed cognition. 2. Distinguish distributed cognition theory from earlier social theories of learning. 3. Discuss the role of technology as a learning partner in distributed cognition theory. 4. Define and state the significance of idea externalization. 5.
