Scene and Lab Procedures

One of the most important parts of conducting a forensic investigation is the collection of evidence. This collection process begins in the field, where devices containing potential evidence must be seized, cataloged, and transported back to the forensic laboratory. It is imperative that this part of the process is performed correctly. A mistake at this point in the process can compromise the entire investigation in several different ways.
