Cathy Goodwin

Name: Cathy Goodwin
Job Title: Collection Management Librarian, Kimbel Library.
Hometown: Westlake, Ohio
Hobbies: Reading, tennis, yard work. Wait - is that a hobby? Maybe planting things and hoping they'll live.
Favorite books:
My all-time favorite book is A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. It was funny when I first read it in the 80's, and it's hilarious now. The story of how it was eventually published is almost as good as the book itself - Toole was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction posthumously in 1981. Another favorite author is Barbara Comyns (Our Spoons Came from Woolworths, Mr. Fox, Sisters by a River, The Skin Chairs.)
Other stuff about me:
I have a degree in Biology from Transylvania University (really! It's in Kentucky) and recently received my M.L.I.S. from the University of South Carolina. I have a terrifically talented husband, three amazing and wonderful children, the world's best dog, and three cats that really don't do much.
