Favorite books / television shows:
I’ve loved science fiction novels since first reading the 2001 series by Arthur C. Clark. Science fiction is a genre that lets people imagine where all this technology is going (or, more appropriately, where we want or don’t want it to go). Also, it shows that despite the complexity and mysticism surrounding technology, it is basically a reflection of human desire, such as for exploration, companionship, and immortality. Technology is similar in nature to the humans that create it: simplistic and beautiful in some ways; complex and terrifying in others. Only a good science fiction novel can truly illustrate this relationship.

Most of the books I read, however, are non-fiction. Right now I’ve got several in rotation: The Wall Street Journals’s Complete Personal Finance Guidebook by Jeff D. Opdyke, The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby, and a couple of cookbooks. I rarely read any book cover-to-cover. I like to flip through them!

In regards to good web sites, there are just so many!
