Welcome Back!
Saturday, August 25, 2007

A warm welcome back to professors, returning students, and our new arrivals! It is a new year for the Philosophy Club and we will be forging ahead in new and exciting directions.

First, we'd like to thank Adam Townsend for serving as President last year and wish him well in his new position as Assistant Director for the Jackson Center. Thank you for your hard work last year, it has laid the groundwork for a successful club that we will build upon.

Now for present matters. We hope you enjoy the new site, it was decided that a less ornate site would serve our purposes better and this is the end result. It will take some time, but expect it to be up and fully functional within a week or so. Contact information will be found under the "About" section, so please contact us with comments or suggestions when that portion is functional.

Lastly, there will be an Officer Meeting Tuesday, August 28, around 2:30 at the Cino. Officer Meetings are currently open to the public, but decisions are made solely by the officers. We hope to be having a lecture open to the public the following week, Tuesday, September 4, at 4:30 in EHFA 110. The tentative topic is Feminisim by Dr. Ivanova. That's all for now!
