"LDS microfilm 866,209 Allegheny Co, PA, Orphans Court docket, vol 9, 1850-51, 329, #82, estate of HENRY KING dec'd; petition of JAMES KING, son and heir of Henry King, late of Allegheny Co; said petitioner's father died intestate Oct 1835 leaving issue, 9 children, to wit: Mary King now md to Stowater; Jacob King now residing IA; Barbara King, James King, Charles King and Lewis King now residing in Centreville, All Co, PA; Nicholas King, Eliza King now md with Myer; Frances H md with Krauscup; and the intestate died seized of a messuage in Pitt TS, now called Collins TS, beginning at a point on the Allegheny River adjoining property of the heirs of Jacob Negley, described in degrees, trees etc. bounding Bishop's heirs, 28 A 1 rod 29 perches; prays court to make partition of premises aforesaid to and among the children and representatives of said intestate; if such a partition can't be made, then to appraise same, Jun 1851 term. On 30 Sep the court ordered inquest [re partition] and an order notice to be given all heirs personally except Jacob King, notice to Jacob to be publication in the Lee Co Democrat published at Madison, IA.

Inquisition Nov 1852, taken at Collins TS on 3 Dec 1851 before Sheriff of Allegheny Co by 12 good lawful men of the bailiwick, appraised at $2700.

Received of James King $16.92 in full for above costs, 21 Feb 1852; signed by several of the appraisers for their fees."

According to marriage certificate, Dept. of Health, Iowa, of Henry M. King and Mariah E. Dunbar, the parents of Henry King were: James M King and Margaret Neal. Date filed was January 26, 1881. Therefore it is assumed that Jane Neel in the 1850 census is Margaret King’s mother.
