Daniel J. Ennis is an Associate Professor of English at Coastal Carolina University. He holds an Ph.D. in English from Auburn University, an M.A. in English from Appalachian State University, and a B.A. in English from The College of Charleston.

He is the author of a book, Enter the Press-Gang: Representations of Naval Impressment in Eighteenth-Century British Literature (2002, University of Delaware Press), and has published articles on eighteenth-century literature and culture in a number of academic journals, including Albion, Studies in Eighteenth-Century Culture, Restoration and Eighteenth-Century Theatre Research and The Age of Johnson.

He is currently co-editing, with Judy Slagle, a collection of essays entitled Prologues, Epilogues, Curtain-Raisers and Afterpieces: The Rest of the Eighteenth-Century London Stage, expected in 2006. Full vita here.
